A main road in Camborne has been shut off this afternoon (Monday) following a serious incident.
Police officers and ambulance crews were called to Centenary Street (B3303) at around 2.40pm this afternoon following reports of a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian has been taken to hospital; however, it is not yet knowing the severity of their injuries.
The police are currently at the scene and are advising motorists to avoid the area.
A force spokesperson said: “We received reports of a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian in Centenary Street, Camborne, at around 2.40pm today [Monday 11 December].
“Officers and paramedics attended the scene.
“The pedestrian has been taken to hospital. The extent of any injuries is yet to be confirmed.
“Police remain at the scene, Centenary Street is closed and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
“Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any relevant dashcam footage, is asked to contact police via our website or by calling 101 quoting log 403 of 11/12/23.”
