Helston Town Band will help people get into the festive spirit this weekend with an evening of Christmas carols.
The band will perform on Sunday (December 17) at Central Methodist Church on Coinagehall Street in Helston from 7pm.
As well as performances from Helston Town Band, three of its smaller groups including Helston Student Brass, Helston Youth Band and Helston Town Concert Brass will be performing throughout the evening.
Rev Danny Reed and Paul Jenkin will also accompany the congregational carols, and there will be refreshments and a raffle for members of the public after the performances.
The concert is free to attend, with a retiring collection at the end of the evening.
The band will also be out and about today (Saturday) where they will be performing Christmas carols in Meneage Street from 10.30am and at Tesco supermarket on Clodgey Lane between 1pm and 5pm.
It’s been a busy couple of months for the band. In November, the band performed at the Remembrance Concert in Helston along with performances from the Culdrose Military Wives Choir, and band member Jack Curnow.
A few weeks later the band entertained crowds in Helston during the Christmas Light’s Grand Switch on, where they performed festive songs throughout the evening.
On December 1, they performed to members of the public and crews at the RNLI Lifeboat Station in the Lizard.
