Five leisure centres in Cornwall are offering warm spaces to those in need this winter.
Participating centres in Bodmin, Bude, Newquay, St Austell and St Ives have teamed up with the Warm Welcome Spaces campaign.
The centres will offer free weekly drop-in sessions, offering warmth, hot drinks, tasty biscuits and Wi-Fi.
The initiative, run by not-for-profit social enterprise GLL, also includes The Great Winter Get Together - a long weekend of community events taking place between January 12-15.
GLL’s community sports manager in Cornwall, Karen Edmond, said: "The colder months can be very challenging, and this campaign is all about providing warm, convivial places for anyone who needs them."
She further voiced her contentment in contributing to the initiative and concluded by saying: "Sometimes the greatest gift is a friendly smile, a cup of tea and the chance to have a natter."
Free drop-in times range from 10am to 3pm, spanning certain weekdays across the various participating centres.
Note that opening times and dates vary depending on the venue.
