Two more speed cameras have been cut down in Cornwall overnight - one of which was only replaced just a few months ago.
It brings the total number of speed cameras chopped down by vandals in Cornwall to six, following two at Perranarworthal in October last year, then one at Longdowns and one just outside Trewennack within the space of a week of each other, last November.
Today (Wednesday, January 3), police were called to Tregolls Road, Truro just after 3am. However, those responsible had left the scene before officers arrived.
The police then discovered one of the speed cameras at Perranaworthal had also been cut down, for the second time.
The news was first broken by the BBC this morning.

In October, the Packet reported that vandals cut down the average speed cameras at Perranarworthal, which had been installed following a long campaign by the area's Community Speedwatch Group.
At the time Adrian Leisk, Devon & Cornwall Police’s head of road safety, said: "I am saddened for the local community who championed the installation of these cameras and campaigned for years to do so.
"These cameras have improved road safety and will be replaced ASAP. Investigations are underway to identify the mindless vandals who did this. They have achieved nothing."
The Packet has contacted Devon and Cornwall Police for more details about today's incidents.
