A HEALTH hub drop-in session to support rural farming communities is launching in Cornwall next month.
Imagine If is hosting the session at Troon Village Hall on Feburary 12 from 6:30pm until 8:30pm. The organisation is inviting members of the farming community to share ideas about how health hubs can support them.
These Farming Health Hubs will work within the farming community to provide place-based advice, support and guidance in local venues. There will also be outreach sessions at markets and pop-up venues at agricultural shows, which means farmers and their families won't have to visit formal environments.
Vicky Taylor, coordinator of the hub, said: “We hope that by providing information and support in rural farming communities, people will find it easier to access what is available for their physical health and mental wellbeing through the Farming Health Hub and range of activities that can help to support their business health.
"We work alongside many key partners to make sure our provision is well used, well connected, and can maximise our reach to increase our positive impact within communities across the whole county.”
Imagine If has worked with a range of partners and organisations to support the agricultural sector. The organisation has also worked with Exeter University Rural Policy Research to develop research and their approach to issues.
