A pantomime group in Cornwall have announced the dates for their 2024 production of a classic fairytale.
Flushing's pantomime group will be performing its version of Puss in Boots and will run from Tuesday, February 6 until Saturday, February 10 at Flushing Church Hall.
Tuesday night’s performance ticket price will include a pasty, and on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday performances are classed as picnic nights, where audience members are welcome to bring their own food.
Tickets are now available from Flushing Village Stores. However, according to the group's Facebook page, tickets are now sold out for the Friday performance.
Under the direction of Sue Lightfoot, the cast will tell the tale of ‘Puss’ an old Millers' cat left to his youngest son after he dies. Puss, with the help of a fairy, helps Peter to get everything he desires and destroys evil on the way.
Sorcha Lightfoot-Lakey who will be taking on the role of Puss in this year's pantomime told the Packet: “We are so excited to be back.
“We hope that this year’s performance will have you ‘feline’ excited!”
Cast members include Charlotte who will be taking on the role of The Good Fairy, Vicci Simpson as Peter, Maisy James as Princess Pamela, Diane O’Sullivan as Queen Matilda the First, and Joss Campbell Chamberlain
Proceeds generated from the week’s performances will go towards Flushing School, as they have done since the group was established in 1985.
