OLIVER Eatwell tried to live up to his name when he stole biscuits and crisps from Waitrose along with a bottle of whiskey and three bottles of wine.
Eatwell, aged 32, address was given in Truro Magistrates’ Court as The Beach Hut, Malpas, even though that address is a holiday let only and not a home.
Eatwell had pleaded guilty to stealing the goods from the supermarket on September 11 last year as well as stealing two bottles of gin in Truro on September 6 last year belonging to Elemental Distilling Company.
There were no separate penalties for either of those offences but he was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison and ordered to pay £100 in compensation for assaulting a woman by beating her in Truro on September 6 last year.
He also pleaded guilty to assaulting a man by beating him in Truro on the same date for which he was given another 12 week sentence to run concurrently along with another £100 compensation to the victim.
For beating a policer officer in the execution of his duty. Eatwell was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison and ordered to pay another £100 in compensation.
For being drunk and disorderly on Lemon Quay on the same day there was no separate penalty.
In total, Eatwell was sentenced to 26 weeks in prison.
