BOARDMASTERS Festival has unveiled the highly anticipated Second Wave of artists for its 2024 line-up, featuring the final headliner, Sam Fender.
Fender, one of the most requested and rumoured headliners, will deliver an electrifying set on the Main Stage, joining previously announced headliners Stormzy and Chase & Status, along with other stellar acts like Becky Hill, Bicep, Nia Archives, Tom Odell, Andy C, Eliza Rose, and more.
The festival, known for bringing top-tier talent to Newquay, will take place across two scenic sites, Watergate Bay and Fistral Beach, from August 7 to 11.
Celebrating his 10-year anniversary since his Boardies debut in 2014, Sam Fender returns as a headliner after drawing massive crowds in 2018. With sold-out stadium shows and headline sets across the UK and Europe, Fender has become a celebrated musician, with his 2021 hit "Seventeen Going Under" propelling him to new heights.
Joining him on the lineup are Manchester's Courteeners, making their Boardmasters debut, and Declan McKenna, set to release his highly anticipated album "What Happened to the Beach?"
Electronic duo Overmono, indie icon Kate Nash, Cornwall's own Wunderhorse, NewDad, singer-songwriter Calum Bowie, Yorkshire's Fiona-Lee, and Maya Delilah will also grace the stages, promising diverse and dynamic performances.
Boardmasters has partnered with Big Green Coach for the 11th year, ensuring hassle-free, carbon-neutral travel for North-East fans with special weekend services from Newcastle, Dalton Park, and Middlesbrough, in addition to 80+ other UK-wide pick-up locations.
Beyond the music, Boardmasters offers a plethora of activities. Collaborating with local schools, the festival provides water-based activities at four locations, including surf lessons, kayaking tours, and high-speed boat rides. Zennor Haven, a mindfulness retreat at the campsite, offers sound baths, wellness discussions, and massages. Fitness enthusiasts can head to Muscle Beach, an outdoor gym with daily challenges and DJ sessions, while campers can enjoy a pop-up cinema under the stars.
The festival promises a day-to-night carnival of activities, including Keg & Pastonbury, The Boulevard, Beach Cleans, Street Food, Pub Quizzes, Surf Screenings, Bingo, Karaoke, and Family Fun. The Cornwall Rock Choir will add to the vibrancy, and Boardmasters Boutique has exciting news with a new partnership with Pink Moon, offering elevated festival experiences.
