It has been revealed this morning that the Cornish Food Hub has ceased trading at a popular Helston restaurant.
On Monday (February 5) it was announced on the Wheal Dream’s Facebook page that Cornish Food Hub will no longer be trading at the restaurant, after 15 months.
The company took it over in November 2022, having previously traded at The Homestead Woodland Garden near Wendron for a time.
At one point the company was also running the café at Trevassack Lake and a café in Gweek.
Today’s announcement on the Wheal Dream Facebook page reads: “CFH (Cornwall Food Hub) is no longer trading at Wheal Dream. Wheal Dream will be closed for refurbishment until further notice.”
Nathan Deacon, the owner of Cornish Food Hub, told the Packet that it was the right time to hand the Wheal Dream back to owners Barry and Naomi Clark, from whom he was leasing the building.
Explaining that it had become too much, he added: “It’s best for my staff and customers to hand it back to Barry.”
The Packet has also contacted the Clarks for comment.
