Popular walking route Daymer Bay to Padstow is home to some of the most expensive houses in Cornwall, new research has revealed.
An investigation by Quickmove Properties analysed property prices near Britain's best walking trails.
It revealed that those residing in these postcodes face property prices 19 per cent - nearly £60,000 - higher than the wider areas.
The average house price in the 15 postcodes is £373,769, while the wider areas comes in at a more affordable £314,333.
For those nearer to Daymer Bay to Padstow, average prices are around 40 per cent above the rest of Cornwall.
Quickmove Properties sales director, Mark O'Dwyer explains: "We’re extremely lucky that there are such a wealth of outstanding walking routes found the length and breadth of Britain catering for all capabilities, but as with all desirable amenities, a home close to the best is likely to come at a premium."
Security is another aspect to consider, as such properties are usually close to landmarks or tourist attractions, leading to higher costs.
The most significant price spikes were found in Cumberland at the base of the Catbells route, and the Lake District's Loughrigg.
