A question time about the future of Helston cancelled by the organiser after a family bereavement has been rescheduled.
"Question Time Helston" will be held at the Central Methodist Church, Coinagehall Street on Wednesday, February 21.
The event, organised by Dave Potter, was originally meant to have taken place on October 4 last year, but a family bereavement forced him to cancel it.
Dave told the Packet: “The intention is for the event to encourage people to have a discussion about their town; to offer suggestions, highlight opportunities and express any frustrations they may have.
“It is an opportunity to question a panel about their thoughts and have a conversation about things that matter to local residents.”
Doors open at 7pm with event running from 7.30 to 8.30pm. The panel will consist of Miles Kenchington (Helston Mayor), Mel King (Fishermen’s Mission), Tash Mossayebi (Coffee Hut) and Andrew George (Former MP and Parliamentary Candidate).
Dave Potter ran a similar question time event in 2017 which was well received with around 70 people attending.
Members of the public who wish to attend the event are being asked to bring along some questions or complete them upon arrival. The most popular subjects will form the basis of the questions.
