Almost three months after she went missing from a garden in Falmouth, the heartbroken owner a Cockapoo puppy has still not given up hope of finding her beloved pet.

Twelve weeks ago, on a cold November day, Kirsty Prabucki received a phone call that would break her heart.

Her beloved tiny Chocolate Merle Cockapoo puppy Roo had escaped from her dog-sitter’s garden in Falmouth through a gate accidentally left open by a delivery driver.

Kirsty was abroad at the time but immediately liaised with her dog sitter who contacted local and national dog search groups, and many friends and contacts, who all began searching for tiny Roo.

Kirsty returned and organised coordinated searches for Roo, and postering events to raise awareness.

There were early sightings of Roo in Falmouth, and surrounding areas, but sadly none of them resulted in Roo being caught due to her being scared, and in survival mode.

There were other later potential unconfirmed sightings of Roo, as far away as Cullompton, M5, which highlights that Roo could have travelled further afield in her bid for safety.

Now, nearly three months later, Roo is still lost somewhere in Cornwall.

Roo’s devastated owner Kirsty is keen to continue to raise awareness of missing dogs across the county, and to ask people to join the search for her darling Roo.

“If you have any outbuildings or know of any unused buildings Roo, or any other missing dogs, could hide in, please do check them, they could be sheltering,” she said.

“When you are out and about, please keep an eye out for Roo or any other unaccompanied dogs.”

Kirsty says if people do see Roo, they should not shout or chase her, but take a photo, note your exact location, and contact Kirsty on 07970 763520 or Maya on 07709 176098.
