Our final look back into the news from Falmouth in 1976 this week, courtesy of Falmouth History Archive.
Our next feature from The Poly based history group will be looking at a new year.
In this week's selection, a couple from Pendarves Road were celebrating their golden wedding anniversary that year, while a young five-a-side team were champions in their Under 14s football competition.
Also featured is Mike Hodges, back when he had Falmouth sports shop Mike Hodges Sport in High Street.
The shop went on to become MC Sports when Mike and Tracey Christopher took it over in 2002, subsequently moving to premises on the other side of the road, before it changed hands again in 2017 when Cath Horton and Teresa McCormack became owners. They later rebranded it to Castle Sports & Uniform Ltd.
Our final image of the batch shows the inspection of the hull of a concrete boat, also in 1976.
All images were featured in the Falmouth Packet and have been supplied by Falmouth History Archive.
