Cornwall Council has instructed the auction of the former public toilets on the seafront near Penzance.
Described as a “rare and exciting opportunity”, the successful bidder will be able to secure the freehold of a detached block of former public conveniences at Long Rock in West Cornwall.
Set in what is described as a “truly spectacular position”, they toilet block has views of the famous St Michael’s Mount.
The lot was previously listed in the February auction of Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers, but has been re-listed for the March sale.
Senior auction appraiser Katie Semmens said: “This is a rare and exciting opportunity to acquire this freehold detached former block of public conveniences with land to either side.
“Located in a truly spectacular position on the seafront, it boasts stunning views towards St Michael's Mount and Mount's Bay.
“Occasionally these type of properties come to auction although rarely in this type of location. They may offer a variety of future uses, all subject to all necessary consents.”

Extending to 0.05 hectares (0.12 acres), the site includes both men’s and ladies’ facilities and surrounding land. The WCs and land have a freehold guide price of £20,000 plus.
It is among 145 lots listed in the latest auction being held by Clive Emson.
Also in Penzance, a ground floor commercial property most recently used as an office has a leasehold guide of £37,000 plus.
Located in Treweath Road, it has two offices, WC, kitchenette and basement. It is available under the terms of a new 125-year lease.
The property is being auctioned in arrangement with Marshall’s Estate Agents of Penzance.
An end of terrace house with double bedrooms in Pendennis Road in Penzance is listed with a freehold guide of £155,000 plus, including front and rear gardens plus a garage and parking, while a two-bedroom terraced house with gardens and parking in The Close in Penzance has a freehold guide of £123,000.
