A Cornwall outdoor sauna has been named among the best in the UK to relax at by the sea.

Ocean Soul Sauna in Bude was named among the top seven saunas by the sea according to a list from The Times.

Discussing the creation of the list, the newspaper wrote: "Nordic sauna culture is taking the UK by storm and there are now 93 British saunas to choose from — and about a third of them have popped up on our beaches.

"As well as a chance to warm up in the coldest months of the year, they offer plenty of health benefits, it’s reported, from improving sleep quality and reducing stress to boosting energy levels and your immune system. We’ve found the ones worth stripping off for."

What did The Times say about Ocean Soul Sauna?

Ocean Soul Sauna sits on a promenade between Bude’s cliffs and was praised by The Times for its variety of treatments.

They wrote: "Peer through its half-moon windows and you’ll spot the sands of three beaches: Crooklets, Middle Beach and Summerleaze — home to a tidal pool that is well worth a dip if you’ve caught the cold-water swimming bug.

"Or perhaps you’re more tempted by the in-sauna treatments — a sea-salt scrub or Moroccan rhassoul clay face mask.

"Finish the day with a wander along the town’s scenic canal and a sundowner at the Beach at Bude hotel, where the best rooms have sea views of Summerleaze."
