Foster carers across England and Scotland have been receiving bouquets of daffodils grown in Cornwall in the lead-up to Mother’s Day, to recognise the contribution they make to children’s lives.

The flowers, which represent new beginnings, have been hand-picked by father and daughter Reuben and Harriet Curnow at Nanfan Farm in Cornwall.

There are 94 acres of field devoted to growing daffodils on the farm in the hamlet of Churchtown in Cury, near Helston, which overlooks the sea at Poldhu.

Bouquets of 30 daffodil stems, arranged by Cornish Blooms, are being presented to nearly 200 foster carers who are part of Swiis Foster Care.
