A Strictly Come Dancing winner is to make her stage debut in Cluedo 2.
Reigning champion Ellie Leach is set to make her stage acting debut as Miss Scarlett in the world premiere UK tour of Cluedo 2, which will be coming to Truro later this year.
Ellie has made a name for herself over the past 13 years as Faye Windass in Coronation Street.
Cluedo 2, based on the classic board game hitting its 75th anniversary this year, has a five-month tour scheduled around the UK, wrapping up in July.
The tour started at Richmond Theatre on February 29 and will be at Truro's Hall for Cornwall from July 9 to 13.
Alongside Ms Leach, the cast includes West End actor Jason Durr taking on the persona of Colonel Mustard.
Mr Durr played David Hide in BBC One’s Casualty for seven years from 2016, and also played the policeman Mike Bradley in ITV’s Heartbeat.
Ms Leach said: "After an incredible year I’m so excited to join the cast of Cluedo 2.
"I am delighted to make my stage acting debut as Miss Scarlett and I can’t wait to work with Jason and the talented cast."
Mr Durr, added: "I’m thrilled to be joining the cast of Cluedo 2 as Colonel Mustard.
"I was a huge fan of the Cluedo board game as a child and the Colonel is such a great character.
"I am looking forward to bringing laughter and this ultimate whodunnit to audiences across the UK in its 75th anniversary year."
The cast is rounded off by Jack Bennett as Wadsworth, Hannah Boyce as Mrs Peacock, Dawn Buckland as Mrs White, Liam Horrigan as Mr Black, Edward Howells as Professor Plum, Tiwai Muza as PC Silver, and Gabriel Paul as Reverend Green.
Building on the popular original play, Cluedo returns to the stage with a brand new comic mystery set in the swinging 60s.
The play, written by BAFTA Award-winning writers Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran is set to be directed by Mark Bell, who aims to bring the amusing whodunnit to life.
As the body count mounts, the characters scramble from room to room, evading the murderer and hoping to survive the night.
Cluedo 2 is produced by JAS Theatricals, Gabriel Creative Partners, The Araca Group and Lively McCabe Entertainment with Cluedo on stage being based on the Hasbro board game and the Paramount Pictures motion picture, Clue.
