Are Instagram and Facebook down?
Some users have taken to X, formerly Twitter who have noticed there are issues with Instagram and Facebook.
One person said: "#Facebookdown again! @Meta"
Another added: "FB and instagram down again?? #Facebook #instagram"
This account asked: "Is #Facebook down again ? 13.01 GMT ?"
This tweet reads: "How is @instagram down AGAIN?!"
Someone else said: "Glad I’m not the only one who can see Facebook is down again"
It comes as both social media platforms had a major outage last week (March 5).
People reported being automatically logged out of their accounts on Facebook on internet browsers and phone apps.
The issue also affected the Facebook Messenger app.
Instagram users also reported that the photo-sharing social media platform was down with more than 9000 outage reports, as did users of Meta's Threads app.
What is DownDector?
DownDector is an online website that allows users of popular services including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Virgin Media and more to report if they are having trouble with the services.
The site only reports an incident when the number of problem reports is significantly higher than the typical volume for that time of day.
