Falmouth police are appealing for witnesses and information after a 'serious' hit and run left a pedestrian in hospital.
Police were called to Kimberley Park Road on Sunday evening following reports a small white vehicle had struck a man leaving him injured.
The vehicle had then driven off without stopping to see if the man was OK. The collision left the vehicle with damage, believed to be to the front nearside headlight area.
Police want to hear from anyone who might have seen something or knows of anyone who returned home in a white vehicle with unexplained damage to the front nearside.
The road was closed for a number of hours whilst an investigation was carried out and officers from the road policing team thanked the public for their patience.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police appealed for anybody with any information to come forward.
They said: "Falmouth Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious road traffic collision in Falmouth.
