A woman who launched her jewellery business from a small harbourside hut in 2021, has now opened her fourth shop in Cornwall.
In the space of two years, Just Lily shops have opened in Porthleven, Mousehole, Falmouth and most recently St Ives.
The award-winning business - which now includes products such as home lifestyle and gifts, as well as jewellery is the brainchild of Kim Withey and her husband Simon, who has vast experience in finances and business.
Following a successful first season in the hut on Porthleven Market Road, profit made enabled Kim to open her first shop in her hometown of Mousehole on Valentine’s Day, 2022.
In the same year, Kim opened a second shop in Porthleven on Fore Street.
The Falmouth store opened in 2023, and in February of this year, Kim opened the doors to a new shop in St Ives.
Despite a challenging economic climate, Just Lily has already won the prestigious Muddy Stiletto’s Award and is currently nominated for two more.
Kim emphasizes the importance of sourcing products from high-quality independent makers. She said: “I feel that the efforts made to buy from quality-independent makers, and small independent businesses, have enabled us to ensure the products sold in all of the Just Lily stores, make them stand out with a different offering for customers exclusive to us on many of the products we offer.”
She also credits the dedication of the 23 Just Lily team members. She said: “This success does not come without the support and dedication of our fabulous Just Lily team.
“Without them all, we would not have achieved so much in the past two years.”
However, now the fourth store is up and running in St Ives, Kim told the Packet that plans are ongoing for a fifth shop to open in Cornwall.
