A British astronaut is lifting off on a UK tour and is set to land in Truro this autumn.
Tim Peake is preparing to journey through space with his upcoming tour, Astronauts: The Quest To Explore Space.
The tour promises a unique, immersive experience, bringing the marvels of space travel past, present and future to life, with a special focus on the many adventures of astronauts.
Mr Peake plans to utilise an array of archive material and footage to enhance the visual spectacle.
Hall For Cornwall in Truro is anticipating the arrival of this first-of-its-kind event on Sunday, September 1, with performances scheduled for both matinee and evening.
The tour follows the resounding success of his debut tour, My Journey To Space, which sold out from 2021 to 2023.
Before joining the European Space Agency (ESA) in 2009, Mr Peake served in the Army for 18 years.
He carved his own space in history in December 2015 as the first-ever British astronaut to visit the International Space Station.
Retiring from the ESA in 2023, Mr Peake has stayed on as an ambassador for space, working with the UK Space Agency and the ESA to inspire the younger generation to pursue careers in the STEM fields.
He is eager to guide fans through an astronaut's journey.
From the beginning steps in space to envisioning a boundless future steeped in interstellar exploration, there are few as equipped as Mr Peake to narrate first-hand experiences, stories of famous missions and unexpected humour and peril in space.
Tim Peake said: "I am so honoured to have experienced the wonders of space travel myself, and yet it still continues to amaze me just how much space inspires and fascinates people of all ages".
He looks forward to giving amped-up space fans in Cornwall a taste of his discoveries and a sneak peek into the ground-breaking phases of space exploration.
Tickets for the Truro shows, as well as all other dates, are available to purchase from the website, www.fane.co.uk/tim-peake, and directly from Hall For Cornwall.
