A new production of Rumours is coming to Gweek Village Hall.
It is written by acclaimed American dramatist Neil Simon and headed by director David Ivall.
The show is the new production by the Gweek Players this April.
Described as a "classic farce," the plot centres around main characters, Charley and Viv who invite eight friends to their wedding anniversary.
As guests arrive, they become ensnared in a series of unlikely events; Viv disappears, Charley has shot himself in the earlobe, and to avoid scandal due to Charley's status as a government minister, the story spirals into a comical game of hide and seek with the truth.
As each new couple arrives, they are at first kept in the dark, until the others are forced to tell them what happened – but why did it happen? Then, in Act Two, the police turn up …
Performances can be enjoyed from April 10 to 12 at 7.30pm, and an additional show on April 13 at 2.30pm.
Not just a feast for the eyes and ears, audience members will also have a choice of four desserts or cheese and biscuits included in the ticket price of £12.
Plus, there will be a licensed bar serving wine, beer, cider and soft drinks.
Tea and coffee will also be available for purchase.
Tickets can be booked online from the Minack at www.minack.com or by ringing 01736 810181.
