Porthleven has welcomed a second new restaurant this week, and this one is providing customers with a more casual dining experience.
Cantina, a street food restaurant opened its doors to members of the public on Friday, after a soft launch for family and friends on Thursday.
The launch of Cantina came just a day after the owners of Cargo welcomed members of the public on Thursday.

Based in the former Micheal Caines Refuge on Mount Pleasant Road, Cantina will offer a variety of bar snacks, and small plates to full-sized meals along with a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
The premises also boast a balcony which overlooks Porthleven’s Harbour – perfect for when the sun eventually makes an appearance.
Just days before its launch, a post was shared on the Cantina Facebook page by a member of the team, which explained more about what diners can expect to see. It reads: "We are so excited to be here in one of the most beautiful villages in Cornwall.
“Serving street food with a great bar and a relaxed vibe we are not taking bookings, but we will always find you a space somewhere!
“We are looking forward to - literally - getting our feet under the table! We can’t wait to meet you all.”
Cantina has said in a post on Facebook that food will be served from 12pm to 8.30pm, seven days a week. However, they mentioned it would be closed this Monday (April 8)
Dogs are also welcome at Cantina, but only in some areas in the downstairs restaurant. The premises are also accessible for wheelchair users, with downstairs toilet facilities.
For those curious to see what else it has to offer, Cantina can be found on Facebook and Instagram, where they have shared glimpses of their menu and the restaurant’s interior.
