The Carbis Bay Hotel & Estate in Cornwall has raised over £83k for Cornwall Air Ambulance.
These funds were collected through a variety of fundraising events and initiatives that took place throughout 2023 by the resort in St Ives.
A sum of £83,606 ultimately went towards the critical care service that supports Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
The annual Festive Coastal Christmas Market and Carol Concert, held on the estate in December, significantly contributed to this total.
The local support and generosity of the attendees and stallholders at this event saw £11,218 raised.
This amount was boosted by the Jess’s Journey Christmas campaign and a £2,000 match-fund from Lloyds Bank.
In addition to this, generous guest donations, platinum sponsorship of the helicopter, and proceeds from auction purchases and retail sales at the Estate Deli contributed a further £59,401 to the fundraising effort.
Julia Jeffery, corporate fundraiser at Cornwall Air Ambulance said: "We extend our heartfelt thanks to Carbis Bay Hotel for their unwavering support.
"Their Coastal Christmas Market was a tremendous success, thanks to the generosity of their guests and the local community, contributing to vital funds that enable our critical care crew to reach patients in need when every minute manners."
The contributions have a direct impact on Cornwall Air Ambulance's ongoing mission for delivering rapid, life-saving care.
Communities across the region depend on this service, particularly those in remote or challenging locations.
Stephen Baker, owner of Carbis Bay Hotel & Estate, said: "The amount raised is a testament to the power of coming together for a shared cause, and we are delighted to support such a vital service that plays a critical role in our local emergency response."
Carbis Bay is keen to bolster further support for the Cornwall Air Ambulance, promoting voluntary guest donations through its guest room tablets, and inviting departing guests to add a donation to their bill.
Branded merchandise from the estate’s Promenade Deli and Beach Shop also support the cause, with all profits directed to the charity.
This commitment is part of the wider charitable support extended by the estate, highlighting its ongoing commitment to the local community.
