A THIEF from Penryn has been sentenced for stealing two rings from a Falmouth jewellers worth over £1,000.
Liam Parry, of Weston Place, Penryn, appeared at Truro Magistrates’ Court last month where he pleaded guilty to theft from a shop.
Parry admitted entering Atlantis Jewels in Church Street on February 17 this year and stealing the two rings with a total value of £1,020.
Parry was given a one year community order with a non-residential Alcohol treatment non-residential placement with We Are With You for a period of treatment for six months.
He was also ordered to comply with any instructions of the responsible officer to attend appointments or to participate in any activity as required by the responsible officer up to a maximum of 15 Days. He was also fined £80 with his guilty plea taken into account Costs of £85 were awarded to the Crown Prosecution Service and a victim surcharge of £114 was also ordered to be paid.
