Underworld will be performing a special extended live set for the show when they perform for the first time in Cornwall.
The techno dance pioneers will be joined by fashion house staple Ela Minus and underground artist Silkworm when they play The Wyldes on June 8.
With their world tour well underway, innovative electronic music duo Underworld have been captivating audiences with a sublime stage show flooded in technicolor light so far in 2024, marking their most iconic performances to date.
The 90’s techno heroes have been bringing their trademark hypnotic sound to audiences across the globe for decades, their live shows breathing new life into timeless anthems including Born Slippy (Nuxx), famed for its vital addition to cult classic film Trainspotting.
Columbia-born singer-songwriter and producer Ela Minus appears everywhere, from show-stopping live shows at Coachella, Primavera Sound and Estereo Picnic, to her BBC Radio 1 Residency show and BBC Radio 6 A-List installation of her critically acclaimed album ‘Acts of Rebellion’, to live soundtrack-creation for catwalk shows by Chanel, Miu Miu and Prada, and touring around the world with the likes of Caribou.
With a deep love and technical understanding of synthesisers, Ela Minus creates music to mesmerise, and will be bringing her trademark transcendent melodies and hypnotic techno beats to the stage on the 8th of June.
With an unwavering commitment to pushing boundaries, Silkworm enchants crowds with his unique and immersive sound. Blending intricate rhythms with pulsating basslines and ethereal melodies, underground artist Silkworm’s music is a testament to a lifelong love affair with the electronic realm, one that audiences are guaranteed to share at the Cornwall show.
The Wyldes offers abundant atmosphere, curating several hours of entertainment, providing street food vendors and fairly priced bars, and there’s even an afterparty included in the ticket for those keen to keep the party going.
Paying homage to the venue’s humble origins, events at The Wyldes have a rustic, intimate feel that will appeal to the hardy festival-goer and the festival first-timer alike.
Ticket buyers also have an array of camping areas to choose from, from simple-yet-spacious tent camping to glamping in bell tents with all the mod-cons of a boutique hotel.
Tickets are still available for Underworld live in The Wyldes, but are selling fast, with many of Underworld’s other dates on the tour having already sold out.
The Wyldes organisers said: “Underworld’s live performances are the stuff of legend, so to hear that they’re in for a double set is really exciting. With Ela Minus and Silkworm joining the line-up for this show, it’s going to be a whole day-to-night experience for everyone involved - it’s going to be mind-blowing.”
Underworld will perform live in The Wyldes, Cornwall on Saturday, June 8, 2024.
