The manager of a Cornish spa said she felt ‘incredibly proud’ to have reached the finals in a prestigious award.
The Headland based in Newquay has been shortlisted for the title of Best Destination Spa in the finals of the Good Spa Guide Awards 2024.
“The Good Spa Guide is very close to our hearts, and we feel incredibly proud to have reached the finals for another year,” said Steph Curse, spa manager.
“It really is a huge testament to the spa and aqua club teams, who are extremely passionate about the service and experience they provide.
“Our spa treatments cater to all ages and preferences, from ‘Little Miss’ treatments to indulgent 85-minute ‘Signature Rituals’ that pamper you from head to toe.”
Steph said that the team take ‘joy’ in celebrating both big and small occasions, ensuring that every spa experience is ‘top-notch’.
Last year’s spa awards attracted more than 400,000 public votes and The Headland came top in the Best Spa in the Southwest category.
The Good Spa Guide uses a bubble rating system to rank each spa ranging from One Bubble up to a maximum Five Bubble Luxury.
In 2023, The Headland Spa and AquaClub retained top marks in the award for its design, friendly staff, extensive pools, locally sourced food, innovative treatments, and views across the Atlantic.
The Headland has also revealed they are working with VOYA a company which creates organic seaweed-based products, to introduce five new treatments.
In October 2023, the Packet reported that The Headland was crowned Independent Hotel of the Year at a national award ceremony.
The hotel was described as an "inspiration to others" after it was crowned at the Independent Hotel Show at Olympia London. You can read more about this here: Cornish hotel scoops major national hotelier award
