A man has died in hospital after he and a woman were hit by a car as they walked along a pavement on a road in St Ives.
Police were called Treylon Avenue, St Ives at 7.45pm on Tuesday April 30 to a report of an incident involving a grey BMW 1 series and two pedestrians.
Both pedestrians, a man and a woman, were taken to hospital with serious injuries. Sadly, the man passed away in Derriford Hospital on Tuesday, May 7. The woman remains in hospital with life-changing injuries.

The driver of the car, a 45-year-old man, was arrested at the time of the collision on suspicion of causing serious injury by driving without due care and attention. He is currently on police bail.
The road was closed for around eight hours while a forensic examination took place.
Police thanked the public for their patience while the investigation was carried out.
