A charity shop has raised £42,000 for cancer research at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust.
Volunteers from the Marazion Cancer Shop presented Dr Duncan Wheatley, consultant oncologist and director of research, with the latest cheque.
During the meeting, Dr Wheatley thanked the volunteers for their contribution and discussed the difference the donation will make.
The charity shop, staffed solely by volunteers, has dedicated 12 years to the cause, providing donations amounting to over £300,000.
The shop's fundraising efforts contribute to extra personnel, local research endeavours, new equipment, staff training, and even patient transportation costs for them to participate in vital research.
The team of volunteers previously won the Marazion Community Champions of the Year 2023 award for their efforts.
