A Camborne shopper has won a cash prize after using her loyalty card when shopping locally.
Lillian Hammacott, a local resident, has won £50 in the monthly loyalty card draw initiated by BID Camborne due to her regular use of the loyalty card up to three times a week.
Ms Hammacott, who lives in the town said: "If we can buy it in Camborne, we do.
"We believe in shopping locally and supporting local businesses."
The loyalty card scheme, currently celebrating its second year since inception in 2022, works by encouraging shoppers to collect stamps from participating businesses, with each £2 minimum spend equalling one stamp.
Once a card has ten stamps, it is submitted into the monthly draw that can reward lucky shoppers with cash prizes of £100, £75 and £50.
The more a card is used, the more chances the person has to win.
More than 30,000 card transactions have been registered since the launch of the scheme, with more than 100 people entering the draw each month and a total of more than 2,500 entrants to date.
BID Camborne manager Anna Pascoe said: "The loyalty card is well used and makes a difference.
"We’re a close community in Camborne and residents like Lillian are keen to support their local economy as much as possible.
"The card is an extra incentive to shop in the high street and we’re delighted it’s working so well."
You can get a card from any of the participating Camborne businesses.
