A charity is on the lookout for the perfect moment on camera that captures the beauty and diversity of lakes across the South West.
The South West Lakes Trust is encouraging all visitors to submit their most stunning photos and videos for this year's Love Your Lakes Photography and Video Competition.
This contest offers participants a chance to win up to £250, with an additional £100 for the leader in each of the five categories.
These include Wonderful Wildlife, Stunning Scenery, Awesome Adventures, Young Explorers, and It’s Your Outdoors.
The Young Explorers category, designed for budding photographers and videographers, provides the choice between the cash reward or an hour-long paddle party for eight people.
The victorious images and clips will go on display at a special exhibition at Roadford Lake at the end of the year, and grace the pages of the charity’s 2025 calendar.
James Platts, chief executive for South West Lakes Trust, expressed his enthusiasm for the competition.
He said: "We are excited to see those special moments captured from around our lakes, whether that be engaging with the natural environment, or from adventures out on the water.
"It’s those special, sometimes fleeting moments experienced out in nature that makes these lakes mean so much more to our visitors.
"We are really looking forward to sharing those moments with you and we wish everyone good luck!"
The window for entries to be submitted opened on May 24.
Those interested in taking part have until the August 31 deadline.
