Green Fest is returning to Camborne in June.

The ‘Great Big Green Week’ will be celebrated again this year by Camborne Town Council, who will be hosting Green Fest, on Saturday, June 8.

Last year, the first festival was a free family event and left a positive impression on the community at Camborne Recreation Ground.

Expectations are high for an even bigger festival this year (open from 11am to 6pm), focusing on building upon last year's success.

Bigger music stages will feature talent from the area all afternoon, with performances from artists like Cat Florence, Freshly Squeezed, Ex Presidents, Kid Ego, Bailey Tomkinson & The Locals.

The organisers promise guest speakers, displays and stalls from 10 green charities and organisations, children's activities and food and drink provided by caterers.

A 'washed-up mermaid' performer will also entertain the crowd.

Green Fest is not only a fun family event but also an opportunity to learn about environmental sustainability, green issues and climate crisis action.

A number of organisations working on these causes will be present.

For more information or updates regarding the event, follow Camborne Town Council's social media pages on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
