A woman in her 60s has died in Cornwall today after reports of concern for her welfare.

Officers from Devon and Cornwall Police along with ambulance crews were called to Playing Place near Truro just after 11am this morning. 

Sadly, the woman was declared deceased at the scene, and her next of kin have been informed.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said police were called at around 11.10am on Friday, May 31st, following concerns about a woman in a vehicle.

The ambulance service also responded, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her death is not being treated as suspicious, and the police will continue to liaise with HM Coroner.
