Thousands of visitors enjoyed this year's The Great Estate Festival under shining blue skies.

The grounds of Scorrier Estate were filled with music, cabaret, and camaraderie from May 31 to June 2.

With dinosaurs, bumble bees, flamingos, and squirrels providing colourful distraction, performances from The Darkness, The Stranglers, and Soul II Soul marked the high points of Cornwall's most bizarre garden party.

Festival-goers travelled through a winding pathway under the cover of trees to find the green hills of the pristine estate.

A clear night sky was the perfect backdrop to a high-energy performance from British rock band The Darkness.

The crowd was captivated as lead singer Justin Hawkins entertained with stories, guitar picks, headstands and jokes.

The band played fan favourites Black Shuck, Get Your Hands Off My Woman, Growing on Me, and the much-anticipated I Believe in a Thing Called Love.

In stark contrast, The Stranglers, draped in black attire, dominated the main stage with an electrifying performance.

Their melody of Golden Brown moved the crowd in rhythm till the last note.

Drawing the curtain on the weekend's festivities, Soul II Soul won over attendees with their laid-back party vibes and chart-topping hits, including Keep On Movin and Back To Life.

Other notable acts included Imperial Leisure and their giant inflatable beach balls, My Baby, Shefu, Bez’s Acid House Party, Dr Meaker, and Fat Boy Tim.

Festival directors, Ben Hall and Ian Whittaker said: "This year's Great Estate Festival has been one of the best so far.

"We’d like to extend a huge thank you to all the loyal customers that supported the event and to the entire team behind this well-loved family festival."

Audience members explored the festival's expansive grounds, uncovering hidden art within the walled gardens and ramping up the revelry late into the night in the ancient woodland that comprised the festival site.

Music, comedy, circus, and cabaret acts entertained at Madame Wong's House of Wrong.

Attendees seeking relaxation took refuge at The Sanctuary.

The Great Estate's array of local and independent crafts, artisan food and drink, and vintage finds kept shopping enthusiasts occupied.

The festival's culinary scene was highlighted by Rupert Cooper’s open fire feast, featuring Cornish Orchard Cider paired with a variety of tantalising dishes.

Children's entertainment included circus skills, craft workshops, the Great Lantern Parade, and much more.

The Great Estate Festival will return next year on Friday, May 30 until Sunday, June 1, 2025.
