Drivers are facing significant delays in Penzance this afternoon due to a multi-vehicle accident on the A30.
The road is closed in both directions between the Treneere turn-off and Branwell Lane roundabout.
The extent of the damage and any injuries sustained are unknown at this time.
Traffic monitoring service Inrix reports "queueing traffic" on the A30 in both directions due to the accident.
Delays are reported to be extensive, with long queues stretching between the Treneere turn-off and Branwell Lane roundabout, as well as heavy traffic building on Chyandour Cliff towards Penzance train station.
Those travelling in the area are advised to seek alternative routes if possible and allow for extra journey time.
Local traffic updates suggest congestion may also be affecting Eastern Green and Battery Road near Jubilee Pool.
