Following the announcement that it will retire several of its popular thrill rides, Flambards has shared more information regarding season passes.

On Wednesday, the Packet reported that The Thunderbolt, Sky Swinger, SkyForce, and The Hornet Rollercoaster are set to leave the park because of the ongoing shortage of specialist parts, making maintenance increasingly difficult.

A statement released from Flambards on Wednesday said: “We understand this news will be disappointing for some, as these rides have been a beloved part of Flambards for many years.

“However, the safety of our guests is our top priority. We are excited to introduce new attractions and hope you will continue to enjoy all the other rides and attractions that Flambards has to offer."

One of the rides which will soon be removed from the park will now be heading to a travelling funfair.

A post shared on Facebook by Theme Park and Fair Rides Euphoria states: “Even Moran Jnr has purchased the ‘Superides Superstar’ dubbed ‘Thunderbolt’ from Flambards Theme Park in Helston, Cornwall.

“The ride which was brand new to Scott Manning in 1999 until 2001 is undergoing some major work and should be back out on the travelling scene for the first time in 24 years.”

The park said that they recognize that the removal of these rides will impact guests' experience at the park and have adjusted its pricing accordingly. Entry for visitors aged 95cm over will now be £14.95, while children under 95cm remain free of charge.

Flambards is also offering a partial refund of £20 to pass holders who choose to continue visiting the park, and also receive complimentary kart track ride access using their voucher.

A source who visited Flambards today (Thursday) said she was told by Flambards of further changes when the park reopens on July 1.

The source – who does not wish to be named – visited the park on Thursday morning and was told that Flambards will host fireworks in October, but they will not be taking place during the summer months.

As well as this, to replace the retiring rides, Flambards will introduce new dodgem attractions, as the biggest of these new additions.

However, when the Packet contacted Flambards PR company they would only comment on the season pass situation.
