Police are appealing for witnesses and information after two balaclava wearing armed robbers forced their way into a commercial premises and demanded money.

Officers were called the premises in Southbourne Road, St Austell at around 11pm on Wednesday (June 6) after two men forced there way into the premises using weapons and demanded money.

They managed to get a small amount of cash before escaping on foot.

The two men were described as being around six feet tall and wearing dark clothing, including balaclavas and gloves.

Issuing the appeal, Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a report of an aggravated robbery in St Austell.

"Officers were called at around 11pm on June 6 to a Southbourne Road to a report two men had used weapons to force entry to a commercial premises and made demands for money.

"They are believed to have taken a small amount of cash and left on foot.

"The two men were described as being around 6ft tall and wearing dark clothing including gloves and balaclavas.

"Enquiries remains ongoing in the area in relation to this matter.

"Anyone who was in the area and witnessed anything relevant or has dash-cam or other footage which may assist us, please contact police on 101 or via our website quoting reference 50240138386."
