Police are trying to find a car which is believed to be linked to an aggravated burglary at the Texaco petrol station on Southbourne Road, St Austell.
Officers were called at 11pm on Thursday June 6 to reports that two men had forced entry to the premises and taken a small quantity of cash.
Following initial enquiries, they are now trying to locate a black VW Golf with the registration ‘AV07 UFA’ which is believed to be linked to the incident.
It was last seen in the St Austell area on Friday, June 7.
Following further information that has been reported, Detectives no longer believed that this incident is linked to a separate incident in which a police officer was injured by a car at the Applegreen petrol station on Penwinnick Road at 11.40pm on 6 June.
Two men, aged 33 and 48, were previously arrested in connection to both incidents. The men have now been eliminated from enquiries linked to the Texaco investigation.
They have been released on police bail until September in connection with the Penwinnick Road incident.
