The couple who moved to St Keverne from Mylor during the 2021 lockdown, saw the potential in the property, which was previously home to S.T & P Richards Newsagent and an independent shop run by a woman named Phillipa and her husband.

Will a photography lecturer at Cornwall College and Cathy, who works at Manaccan Primary School embarked on a significant renovation project, transforming the space into a modern and welcoming salon.

However, renovating the property presented some challenges, including a lack of a dedicated water supply.

Will explained: “The property needed quite a lot of renovation done to it, which turned into major renovations.

“The floor was pulled up, and there was earth rather than concrete.

“We found out that the water supply was coming from next door, so then we had to install our supply.

“It’s been a long process, longer than we anticipated, but it’s finally there,"  Will told the Packet.
