Three aerobatic display teams will be heading to Falmouth as part of Falmouth Week air show this summer.

Taking place on Wednesday, August 14 at 6:15pm over Falmouth Bay, the Falmouth Week air show will see daring stunts and exhilarating manoeuvres featuring the Jet Pitts, the Titans, and AeroSuperBatics Wingwalkers.

Sponsored by Falmouth Town Council, and Falmouth BID, this is yet another exciting free event organised by the Town Team and one that will attract Cornish residents and visitors alike to Falmouth.

Falmouth Bay creates the perfect backdrop for the air show with a number of vantage points including Pendennis Point, Cliff Road, Castle Beach, Gyllyngvase Beach and Swanpool Beach.

Training commitments this season meant that The Red Arrows were not available and so the Team proactively looked at other aerial display options.

Richard Gates, town manager and Falmouth Week shoreside chairman said: “We’re really pleased to offer something a little bit different this year and thanks to our partners and sponsors for helping support this. There is no doubt that this will remain one of the highlights of Falmouth Week and we hope residents and visitors alike enjoy the early evening show.”

With two sources of propulsion, the Jet Pitts, have a unique design to enhance the performance and entertainment at air shows.

The Titans are a thrilling ‘two-ship’ aerobatic team who impress audiences with precision flying and daring manoeuvres. The high-energy, action-packed routine is guaranteed to impress any crowd.

Finally, the AeroSuperBatics Wingwalkers have been dancing in the skies since 1984 and remain the world’s ONLY aerobatic formation wing walking team.

Falmouth Week will be taking place from August 9-18.

Important marine, traffic and visitor information for the Falmouth Week Air Show will be released nearer the time via the Falmouth Week digital programme, the official Falmouth Week social media platforms, the Falmouth Week website and in the local media.

The air show is subject to weather conditions and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) approval as usual.
