Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman pedestrian was left seriously injured following a hit and run in north Cornwall.

The incident happened at 8.15am on Saturday, June 29 when the woman pedestrian was struck as she walked along Hendrawalls Lane in Davidstow.

The vehicle which hit her didn't stop at the scene to help but instead drove off leaving the woman seriously injured. She was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The vehicle which hit her has still not been found and the police want the public's help to find it and are appealing for anybody who saw anything or has dashcam footage to come forward.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a collision on Hendrawalls Lane in Davidstow.

"The incident occurred at around 8.15am on Saturday 29 June where a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, which failed to stop at the scene.

"The female pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

"The vehicle involved has not been located and we are appealing for anyone who was in the area and have dash-cam or witnessed anything that may assist us, to get in touch.

"Anyone who has not yet spoken to police is asked to contact us via 101 quoting log 210 of 29/6/24."
