A Kurdish restaurant, an iconic doughnut shop and a children’s charity have all opened their doors to new premises in Truro in the past week.
It has been a busy few days in the city, with Truro BID welcoming the arrival of all three.
They include Baba Gur Gur Restaurant now serving Kurdish and Middle Eastern food from 4 Little Castle Street.
The restaurant is based next door to The Hair Boutique Truro and Dental Logic Truro.
Offering them a “very warm welcome,” Truro BID said: “Baba Gur Gur is an authentic Kurdish restaurant serving a variety of freshly cooked food ranging from kebabs with rice to falafels with naan bread.
“They are open daily from 11am until 8.30pm and offer both takeaway and eat-in.
“Great to have you in Truro, the premises is looking amazing!”
Also opening a new shop in Truro is children’s charity Barnardo’s.
Previously based near Truro Museum in the past, their shop in the city is now based at High Cross, below Penderlaw Solicitors and next door to @Ost Eatery and Red Elephant Beer Cellar.
Truro BID said: “We are delighted to have you open again in the city selling pre-loved and second-hand fashion. Barnardo's is the UK's largest children's charity.”
And as previously reported in the Packet, fast food fans can celebrate the arrival of Cornwall’s first dedicated Krispy Kreme shop, which opened in Nicholas Street on Thursday, right next door to Greggs.
There was a long queue waiting for the doors to be opened, keen to sample the classic doughnuts.
The new store will serve all of the latest limited-edition doughnuts and the companyh’s iconic Original Glazed doughnuts, as well as coffee, shakes and soft drinks.
Truro BID said: “We're delighted to welcome you to the city. Great to have you in Truro!”
Finally, a move for one of Truro’s businesses. Smith & Reed Recruitment will be reopening on Monday in their new home at 14-15 Lemon Street, with Truro BID wishing them all the best in their new location.
