Two Australian award-winning singers are to perform in Cornwall as part of a UK tour.

Australia's award-winning singer-songwriter, Ernest Aines has partnered with Queensland's indie-folk rising star, Camille Trail.

Among their stops will be a performance in Helston at Helston Old Chapel, in the town's cemetery in Meneage Road, scheduled for August 10, 2024.

Musician Van Dyke Parks has praised Aines, saying he is a 'Giant', while Tom Paxton commended him backstage exclaiming: "Keep doing this! You are amazing."

Aines said: "I'm over the moon to be touring with my running mate Camille Trail.

"I've also missed the warmth of reception I received from audiences in the UK.

"I'm totally amped to get back over there and see the new venues and meet the people."

Camille Trail is equally eager about her first international tour.

She said: "Ernest is an incredible songwriter, performer, and a great friend of mine.

"I'm very excited to experience it all and share our music and stories with the UK audiences!"

Aines has been celebrated for enchanting audiences with his soulful voice, and masterful guitar skills, drawing comparisons to leading artists like Ray LaMontagne, Bon Iver, and Jeff Buckley.

He was also a nominee for the Australian Folk Artist of the Year Award 2023.

Camille Trail, on the other hand, is one of Australia's respected indie-folk singer-songwriters.

Her tracks, Gotta Get To Know You and Twenties, led music lovers to compare her style with Lizzie McAlpine & Maggie Smith.

The duo is to perform at several venues across the UK including Cambridge, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Chester, Birmingham, Oxford, and Salford before the performance in Helston.
