The owner of one of Helston’s most popular cafes has announced she is selling up.

Natasha Mossayebi founded the Coffee Hut, a cafe and coffee shop in Helston, five and a half years ago.

During that time the business has successfully navigated the Covid pandemic and a credit crunch, and has also seen development of its own.

Initially based in the entrance area to Fatty’s Barbers, at the top of Coinagehall Street, last July the Hut moved across the road to its own dedicated premises in Coinage Ope, the alleyway leading to the Tyacke Road car park.

It has built up a strong fan base of customers who visit regularly for the Hut's famous wraps and cakes, smoothies and of course coffees.

Now, however, Natasha has said she has made “the hardest decision of my life” to pass the business onto someone else while she concentrates on family life.

Explaining on Facebook, Natasha said: “We have some big news… The Coffee Hut is officially up for sale.

“This has literally been the hardest decision of my life. I absolutely adore my magical Hut and the thought of not being there every week makes me feel so sad.

“I just need to focus on myself and spend some much-needed time with my family.”

That includes a desire to spend more time with her young daughter Autumn.

“My priorities have really changed since having Autumn so I really feel it’s time to be thankful for the amazing memories in the last five and half years in the Hut, with the best customers I could have ever wished for, and to look forward to the next chapter,” added Natasha.

“The new owner will be so lucky to have our very busy little Hut with chilled vibes, the most loyal customers and the hardest working team you will ever find.

“As I write this I’m feeling so many emotions, scared, a little sad but very excited for my next adventure.

“But for now, nothing changes, we will continue to serve you the best coffee, cake, food and still provide you with your ‘coffee, community, calm’ in Helston. See you all soon.”

The leasehold of the café has been put up for sale with Veritas Business Sales South West with a price of £69,950. Details can be found on Rightmove.
