A bicycle worth £300 has been stolen in a burglary in Cornwall, which also saw the owner's car being targeted. 

Police are now hoping to find witnesses and CCTV footage of the burglary in Truro, or the moments before and after it. 

Officers also want to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in Kenwyn Hill area of the city around that time. 

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Offenders broke into the garage at a property in the Kenwyn Hill area between 11pm on Friday, July 12 and 4am the next day, Saturday.

"They stole a red and black Forme road bike worth £300 and also targeted the owner’s car, stealing a small amount of loose change.

"Officers are investigating the burglary and appealing to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area at the time.

"They are particularly keen to hear from anyone with CCTV or doorbell footage which may have captured the incident or from anyone who may have been offered the bicycle for sale."
