Helston Community College recently held a Celebration Evening, acknowledging students' achievements across various subjects.
Of the total 86 students nominated from all five years, only two to three progressed to the final evening in each category.
Students were recognised for their efforts in Computer Science, Drama, English, Maths, and Engineering Design.
Along with recognising their academic skills, the event also acknowledged the students' commitment and personal development.
Prizes for performance and dedication were distributed.
Key awards comprised the AP Valves Design and Technology Award for the Most Improved Student, the Bickford Smith Cup for the Exceptional Religious Education Student, and the Julie Newton Award for Endeavour which recognises determination.
Adding to the event was entertainment from the College Concert Band and an address by Rowan Clarke, an alumnus of the college.
Rowan, who joined in Year 7 and completed his Post 16 studies at Helston, spoke on his journey of becoming a police officer and a football league referee despite numerous challenges.
Clarke's story of dedication and resolution resonated with attendees.
Lastly, the college expressed gratitude towards everyone involved in organising the event.
The Celebration Evening presented academic recognition as well as encouragement for determination and resilience in all pursuits.
