Much-loved Cornish musical festival Helstonbury is in full swing this weekend and about to launch into ‘Spingo Saturday’.
Taking place as always at the famous Blue Anchor pub in Helston, there have already been two nights of music, with Helstonbury Does Jazz on Thursday followed by up-and-coming talent on Friday.
The opening night featured music from the students of Helston School Jazz Orchestra, the saxophone quartet Saxy Maids, then Como Crumble and finally the Fast Track Big Band to finish the evening.
Two stages were open on Friday, with the Helston Music Foundation Stage featuring Lost Angels, Redshift, and White Noise.
Meanwhile the Helstonbury Introducing stage showcased the talents of Jess Lee, Esme Jane, Kaycee-Ella, The Blisters, Kedryn and the Band Of Fiasco.
Thousands of music fans are expected to attend over the course of the four days, with Spingo Saturday traditionally one of the busiest of the weekend.
The line-up today welcomes the talent of performers such as Bobby's Helmet, Crazy Horses and Reservoir Stogs, while DJ Tripdog + Friends will end the night with a silent disco.
Tomorrow Journeymen, Not the Beatles, Stone Roots, Bob Love, High Voltage and the Culdrose Military Wives Choir will be among the big names wrapping up the event.
A full line-up on each stage for this weekend can be found below.
Helstonbury originated in 2001 when founder organiser Paul Turton wanted to hold a one-night gig to raise money for a young lady who needed funds for her wheelchair.
Fast forward 23 years later, and with thousands of pounds raised for local charities, Helstonbury has cemented itself as one of Helston's much-loved events.
