The homegrown talent of Fast Track Big Band, a 23-musician powerhouse, will be performing at All Saints Church in Falmouth.

Comprised of music teachers, students, and enthusiasts from various backgrounds, the band has found prominence in the community through their great performances.

The charity concert, held on August 2 at 7.45pm, will be a mix of classics from Steely Dan to Bernstein.

It promises to be a great night filled with great music from a great band.

Fast Track Big Band's story of how they were formed goes back to a cosy afternoon at the Blue Anchor pub in Helston.

It was where Tony Richards and Clive King, sharing drinks and a love for big band music, ended up hatching their plan for this musical tour de force.

Under their charismatic and expert direction, the band has become well-known for vibrant performances, dedication to big band music, and a sound likened to a refreshing cold pint on a summer's day.

Furthermore, their performances are described as a rollicking good time, filled with joy and energy from the first trumpet toot to the last drum bang.

The members bring talent, enthusiasm, and a unique flavour that has been instrumental in their swift rise in the community.

Their repertoire spans classic big band pieces as well as contemporary ones, earning them a favourite spot in celebrations and events.

Tickets are on sale at £15 (including £1 theatre levy) and can be bought online here, over the phone, or at the door of the event.

Their swift growth is a testament to the magic that happens when homegrown talent meets leadership with a sense of humour.

The Fast Track Big Band continues to prove that with a lot of passion and laughter, anything is possible.

The summer concert, beyond doubt, is set to be a thrilling night of music.
