A series of exciting events are set to sweep across beer gardens in the South West this summer.

St Austell Brewery and Thatchers Cider work together for the Haze Sessions, which will see top local musicians perform in much-loved pubs across the region – and the first 80 people to arrive at each event will get a free pint of cider.

The first of the Haze Sessions will kick off on Friday, July 26 at The Old Success Inn in Sennen, which will see renowned acoustic artist Will Keating perform and supported by Seamus Mac.

August 9 will see Renville, a high-energy indie rock three-piece from Devon thrill crowds at The Crabshell, followed by 60s cover band the Hurdy Gurdies performing at the Hope and Anchor in Hope Cove on the 17th.

Dysfunktional will play at The Locksbrook Inn in Bath on August 23, with the final event held at the Wellington in Bristol on August 30, where DJ Jodie will round off the sessions with a three-hour set.

Laura McKay, St Austell Brewery’s marketing and communications director, said: “The Haze Sessions in partnership with Thatchers are a fun way for people to enjoy some of the best beers on tap in our beloved pubs as well as a thirst-quenching cider from Thatcher’s, complete with entertainment to bring together the best of summer.

“We’re excited for people to come and experience our pubs with the addition of a party atmosphere brought by class acts of the live music scene across our region.”

Emma Pyle, senior brand activation manager for Thatchers Cider said: “Summer is all about those laid-back moments, with the sun on your face and music in the air.

"Thatcher's Haze was made for those perfect moments; a thirst-quenching cider that is crisp, sweet and naturally cloudy.

“Haze Sessions celebrate everything this cider is about, enjoying the simple pleasure of meeting friends and family in your favourite St Austell pub and listening to live music with the perfect pint in your hand.

"We’re delighted to be working with St Austell again and can’t wait to welcome people back to the gigs – they’re in for a real treat.”

The events are free to enter and to claim a free pint of Thatcher's Haze cider, the first 80 people to arrive need to quote ‘haze’ on entry.
