Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road crash which left a motorcyclist with potentially life-changing injuries near Newquay.
Police were called to Spitfire Corner on the A3059 on Thursday, July 25 to reports of a collision involving a motorbike.
The rider of the bike and the pillion passenger, both men, were taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital where it was found that the rider had suffered potentially life changing injuries.
He was transferred Derriford Hospital in Plymouth for further treatment. The pillion passenger suffered minor injuries.
The road was closed while officers carried out an investigation and police thanked the public for their co-operation.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Officers were called to the collision close to Spitfire Corner at around 9.05pm on Thursday 25 July where it was reported that a collision had occurred involving a motorcycle.
"The male rider and male pillion were taken to Royal Cornwall Hospital, Treliske. The rider was found to have sustained potentially life-changing injuries and was later transferred to Derriford Hospital. The pillion suffered minor injuries.
"The road was closed while an investigation was carried out at the scene. Officers from the Roads Policing Team would like to thank the public and residents of the area for their patience whilst the road was closed.
"Anyone with any relevant information or dash-cam footage which may assist the investigation is asked to contact police via our website or by calling 101 quoting log 947 of 25 July."
